Ashleigh credits her interest in herbs, spices and historical remedies to her mums cooking, rich and diverse her mum taught Ashleigh the health benefits of using cloves, ginger and other heritage ingredients not only in food but drinks. When Ashleigh emigrated to Australia she found herself questioning the rising focus on organic produce and the shift in eating habits and growing your own even when living in a city. Originally, the focus was on growing herbs that could easily be added to your daily meals capturing the essence of the raw materials health benefits. That wasn't enough though so our founders focus turned to answering customers questions in a very real way - Can I grow my own tea?

The answer is yes you can however to gain the consistent health benefits you want it would be hard to grow the volume of herbs and spices to create unique daily tea blends. This is how Tea Bird Tea came about answering a simple question from a customer and we hold this at the heart of everything we develop.
